Cease and Desist Letter - Defamation

What are Cease and Desist Letters?

Cease and desist letters are sent to try and stop conduct that interferes with your rights. They are used to provide fair warning that unless the infringing conduct stops further steps may be taken e.g. to approach the court for relief.

What is a Concerns Notice?

A concerns notice is a procedure under the Defamation Legislation in NSW whereby you articulate your concerns in respect of the alleged defamation to the other side. This is required under the legislation as a precondition to taking further steps.
